He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Genevieve Davis (Maxwell); his son Daniel Davis; and his siblings, Ruby, Wilma, David, Joe, Becky, Judy, Jennifer and Jimmy.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Davis; his sons, Robert Davis and Darrin Davis; his grandsons, Trace Davis, Thomas Davis and Tyler Cullison; and his siblings, Billy, Shelby, Nancy, Laura and Cindy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
