He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Florea and Helen Florea (Robison); and his wife Mary Florea. He is survived by: the mother of his children Donna Jane Florea (McClarnon); his son Robert Florea Jr. (Vicky); his stepchildren, Brenda Bishop of Hartzell and Jeff Perry of Carthage, Indiana; his grandchild Thomas Strasser (Ashley); and his close friend Roy Miller.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wilkinson or Shirley Fire Departments or to the Righteous Oaks Baptist Church.
