He was predeceased by : his wife Sharon Ann Muterspaugh; his parents, Basil Muterspaugh and Nora Muterspaugh; and his brothers, Curtis Alspaugh and Chod Muterspaugh.

He is survived by : his children, Robert Muterspaugh, Jr. (Robin), Stephen Muterspaugh (Lisa), Jerry Muterspaugh (Jennifer) and Sandi Miller (Steven); his grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Jeffery, William, Albert, Faith, Kayla, Alex, Mackenzie and Evan; and his brother Carl Thomas Muterspaugh. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
