He was predeceased by: his parents, Clois and Ranza Emmons; his stepdaughter Melissa Marks; his wife Patricia Harper Emmons; and his former wife Sharon Tuell Pate.
He is survived by: his siblings, Phillip, Teddy Emmons (Clydia) and Phyllis Wininger (Roger); his children, Robert Emmons and Jill Tow; his grandchildren, Clayton and Keylee Tow; and his stepchildren, James Pate (Melissa), Robert Pate (Theresa), Arketta Butler (Bill) and Dianna Payne (Clifford). He is also survived by 17 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
