She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Messmer and Frances Messmer (Hedinger); her husband Earl Paulin; her son Patrick; her grandsons, Eric and Steven Hempfling; and her siblings, Jean Heffner, Clara Boeckman, Sr. (Mary Gerald Messmer O. S. B), Dorothy Helming, Mary Ann Corley (Roberta Weyer), Pete, Gerald Messmer, Joseph and Thomas Messmer.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Paulin (Mickie) of Ferdinand, Tony Paulin (Ruth) of Ferdinand, Jeff Paulin of Siberia, Brenda Schuetter (Glen) of Birdseye, Cheryl Sherman (Tim) of Siberia and Patty Reckelhoff of Celestine; her grandchildren, Rodney, Travis, Nick, Jake, Jarret Paulin, Neal Hempfling, Jamie Amadi, Angie Evitts, Sarah Veatch, April Allen, Chase, Haley and Blake Reckelhoff; her sisters, Mary Carol O. S. B of Beach Grove and Carol Stedtfeld of Mount Vernon; and her brother-in-law Richard Paulin (Norida) of Bristow. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
