We announce the death of Lura Dean Shepherd of Silver Lake, Indiana, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 85. Lura will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Hicks and Mable Hicks (Moore); and her husband Abraham "Abe" Shepherd. She is survived by: her former husband Sam Henry Bradley; her children, Cheryl Reimer (Louis), David Bradley (Amanda J.), Sheila Bradley and Samantha Bradley; and her siblings, David D. Hicks and Dodie Clifton (Tom). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
