Jim Whaley Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Jim Whaley of Solsberry, Indiana. Jim, born on August 10, 1942, passed away on September 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Whaley and Waneta Whaley (Faulk); his great grandchild Barrett Bowlen; his mother-in-law Helen Jenkins; his siblings, Bob Whaley, Darold Whaley, Sue Watkins, Dude Whaley, Ola Underwood, Paul Whaley, Nancy Sheets, Leroy Whaley and Grover Walters; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Whaley, Janet Whaley, Vicki Hunter, Jack Halstead and Phil Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Whaley; his children, Kim Whaley, Barry Whaley (Jacque) and Bill Whaley (Tamara); his grandchildren, Chelsea Whaley, Cheyenne Bowlen (Jackson), Rhett Whaley (Katie), Reece Whaley (Mallory) and Hannah Whaley; his great grandchildren, Haylen, Henley, Ellie, Wade and Stella Jo; and his siblings, Helen Sims (Phil), Martha Mathews (John), Donnie Whaley (Jeri), Darlene Keller (Tony) and Ramona Peoples. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Solsberry Community Methodist Church (10051 E Wilkerson Dr, Solsberry, IN 47459). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family ask that all memorial donations in Jim's name be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
