He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard and Wilimina; his siblings, Pete (Wilma), Ben, Wilimin Coenen (Hend), Rieka Seesing (Benny), Dolly Ensing, Mary Goris (Hank) and June Wynen (John); and his siblings-in-law, Theresa, Mary and Frank Beidinger.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Robert (Diane), Matthew (Therese), Richard (Jessica Logan), Regina Saar (Bradford) and Brenda (Thomas Cook); his grandchildren, Cari Grace (Daniel), Stephen (Alyce), Lisa Domonkos (Jacob), Shelby Blumenthal (Collin), Zachary Saar, Bridget Kevitt (Jared) and Lauren van der Vaart (Felix); his great grandchildren, Frances, Emmett, June, Carson, Cedric, Isaac, Thea, Leona, Lizbeth and George; his siblings, Willy (Joyce), Ted, Henry and Fran Beidinger; and his sister-in-law Florence.
