He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph VanOverberghe and Angela VanOverberghe (Matthys); his former wife Charlene Bortone; and his siblings, Dolores Pajakowski, Lucille Szlanfucht McMahon, Rene VanOverberghe and Larry VanOverberghe.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Dalton (Roy) of South Bend, Indiana and Michael VanOverberghe (Kristine) of Flower Mound, Texas; his grandchildren, Amelia Ruppert (Brock), Valerie Dalton, Olivia Dalton, Lexi VanOverberghe and Colton VanOverberghe; his stepgrandchildren, Brianna Urea, Hudson Urea and Christian Urea; his stepchildren, Lori South (Paul), Lynn Long (Bill), Kristine Gadacz (Rich), Julie Chrobot (Steve), Jenn Applegate, Paul Applegate (Christine) and Dan Applegate (Carrie); his siblings, Lois Krol (Vic), Sister Mary Alfonsa VanOverberghe, Rich VanOverberghe (Pat), Gerard VanOverberghe (June) and Russell VanOverberghe (Linda); and his sister-in-law Veronica VanOverberghe. He is also survived by 22 step-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.
