It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred DeVoore Poindexter (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Poindexter and Sally Poindexter (Lowery); his aunts, Betty Fleming, Augusta Page and Beatrice Taylor; his brothers, Anthony, Gary Poindexter and Ted Williams; his cousins, Karen Tucker, Alonzo, Michael Poindexter and Robert Towles; his aunts, Doll and Rena May; and his uncle Wallace.
He is survived by: his children, Breanna Poindexter of South Bend, Natasha Poindexter of South Bend, Asia Poindexter of Aurora, CO and Terron Poindexter of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Dawn, Gwen, Ruthie, Mary Poindexter, Annette Warnsley, Audrey Jones and Edward Poindexter; his extended family, Tonya Hardin and Daylon Fowler; and his cousins, Denise Fleming, David Poindexter and Paul Page. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
