He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Mersits and Theresa Mersits (Tustich); his son Anthony M. Mersits II; his grandson Kevin J. McCombs; his son-in-law William J. (McCombs); and his sister Pauline Menyhart.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Radich; his children, Anita McCombs (John Carpenter) and John Mersits; his grandchildren, Katelyn Mersits, Meredith Mersits and Joseph McCombs (Lindsey); and his daughter-in-law Melissa Mersits. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
