He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Leon and Marcy Lynn Simons; his wife Dr. Estelle Irene Rousseau; his sons, Theodore Benjamin Rousseau Simons and Leon Augusto Rousseau Simons; his sister Ashleigh Victoria (Kyle); his grandfather Leon Merle Simons; his nephews, Knixon Kyle Heatherly and Kamden Asher Heatherly; his aunts and uncles, Penny (Mike Hanlon), Tracy (Tom Biggs), Wendy (Allan Hench), Carol Hall, Diane Boyd (Jeff) and Andy Trost; and his cousins, Joshua (Missy), Grace, Andrew Hanlon, Austin (Hannah), Zachary Biggs (Krista), Kyle, Olivia, Molly Hench, Karen Hall and Kimberly Boyd.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (52553 N Fir Rd, Granger, IN 46530). A burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery University of Notre Dame Notre Dame, IN (101 Basilica Dr, Notre Dame, IN 46556).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ben's name can be made to the OLPH Orphanage, a cause that Ben and Estelle deeply believed in.
