He was predeceased by: his parent Helen M. Kern. He is survived by: his brother Andrew S. Kern; his sister-in-law Julie of South Bend; his niece Abigail; his nephew Adam Kern; his aunt Betty Plastied; and his uncles, Pat and Bill Kern.
