She was predeceased by: her father Lewis K. Nye; and her sisters, Patricia Garcia and Rita Nye. She is survived by: her sisters, Phyllis Smith of South Bend and Mary Kaser of Bremen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carol L. Nye may be donated to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
