Carole Barnes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carole Barnes (South Bend, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pendleton and Ethel Pendleton; her siblings, David, Willie Pendleton, Gladys Harmon and Kathrine Pendleton; and her siblings' children, Gary, Glenn Harmon and Desiree Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Jones (Jerome), Brigette Chantel Barnes and David Barnes (Sharlynn); and her sisters, Elizabeth Cook (Arthur), Lorraine Pearson, Sandra Rawlings (John), Janet Mitchell and Marian Pearson (Kevin). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and spiritual sons and daughters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cobb Funeral Home (3525 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46614). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
