He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Black Sr. and Vickie Wills; his grandparents, Cecil Black and Versie Wills; and his brother Otis King.

He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Brown (Clayton) of South Bend, Cecil Black Jr. of South Bend and Amber Willis of South Bend; his brothers, Bruce Black (Renee) of Kalamazoo, Darwin Black (Sommer) of South Bend, Brian King (Susan) of Huntsville and Antonio Wilson of South Bend; his grandchildren, Nelayiah Black, Clayton Brown Jr., Caleah Brown, Corey Brown, Jared Willis, Savanna Willis, Zaccary Willis and Mercades Willis; his great grandchild Kymani Willis of South Bend; his cousins, Tyrone and Nathan Foster; and his close friends, Karon Kirkland and Harry Robinson.
