With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Charlene Zick (South Bend, Indiana), born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Charlene left this world on June 13, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles O. Smith and Maggie Smith (Jackett); her stepmother Wilma Geffs; her husband Edward "Zeke" Zick; her sons, Troy Woods and Tony Woods; her granddaughter Lillian; and her siblings, Dianne Ingram and Jerry Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Tracey Johnson, Aimee Ackerman (Paul) and Timothy Murfin (Darryl); her grandchildren, Brittney, Anthony, Hayle, Serrina and Kira; her siblings, Therese Jack (David), Stephen Smith (Melea) and Scott Smith (Vicky); and her brother-in-law Chuck Ingram.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palmer Funeral Home - River Park (2528 E Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at the Southlawn Cemetery (61430 US-31, South Bend, IN 46614).
