He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Gard and Zelda "Squeeze" Gard (Zavor); his son Brockten Gard; and his granddaughter Rylee McDonnell. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy McDonnell (Brian), Kassondra Benson and Miranda Wilken; his siblings, Tara Rerick and Rick Gard; and his cousin Pam Hartman-Michiels.
