He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gale Schaal and Virginia Schaal (Evans); his brother John Schaal; his wife Amy (Ellis); his children, Jessica Engle (Jeff), Stephanie Schaal (Daulton), Justin Schaal (Marsha) and Tory Schaal; his grandchildren, Liam, Logan, Hunter, Aaron, Oliver, Finleigh and Charlotte; his mother-in-law Patricia Ellis; his siblings, Patricia Hanson (John), Kathy Burchum (Larry), Robyn Himes (Jim) and Bill Schaal (Tina); and his pets, Emerson and Pork Chop. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
