He was predeceased by: his sister Victoria Samora; his niece Camila Eggers; and his stepson David Sonnenberg. He is survived by: his brother Phil (Cassidy Haenes); his niece Candice Wasmer of South Bend; and his stepchildren, Philip Sonnenberg (Sarah) of LaPorte, IN, Michelle Hogberg (Mike) of Westfield, IN and Valerie Busick (Jacob) of Shrewsbury, PA..
