With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Clyde Whitaker of South Bend, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Whitaker and Genevieve Whitaker; and his sons, Michael David (Mikey) and Anthony Joseph (Tony). He is survived by: his wife Joan (Rhoads); his daughter Deborah Mayle (Mike); his granddaughters, Monica Perkins (Josh), Ashley Haight (Charlie) and Brooke Peters (Stephen); his great grandchildren, Grayson, Emmett, River, Archie, Sawyer and Noah; and his siblings, Carrol Wong, Gary Whitaker and Regina Whitaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Corewell Health hospice in David's memory.
