He was predeceased by: his parents, Vere Hodges and Mabel Hodges (Kluender). He is survived by: his wife Lori Checkley; his daughters, Kara and Stephanie Hodges; his siblings, Kevin Hodges (Tracy) and Trudy Diamond (Glenn); his mother-in-law Sherri DuCharme; his siblings-in-law, Steve Checkley and Lisa Checkley Needham; and his friends, Dell Allen, Rick Gale and Dave Floerchinger. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and grandnephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University Foundation Memorial Gifts Fund.
