With solemn reverence, we commemorate Dorthey M. VanDusen of South Bend, Indiana, whose life came to an end on July 30, 2012 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Deardorff and Hazel Deardorff (Bigbee); her significant other Charles VanDusen; her son Gary VanDusen; her siblings, Madelyn M. Larkin, Geraldine R. Toner, Lloyd, Carl and Edward Deardorff; and her son-in-law Bruce Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn S. Carpenter of South Bend and William B. VanDusen (Colette) of Nebraska; her grandchildren, Kenny, Kevin, Kelly, Jenny and Dorie; and her great grandchildren, Baylee (Sadie), Blake, Brayden, Ashleigh, Ava and Andrew.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 4th 2012 at 11:00 AM and on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 4th 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home (23421 IN-23, South Bend, IN 46614).
