He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Fordyce and Fayetta Fordyce (Frye); his grandson Aaron Fordyce; and his sister Patricia Sommers. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Brown; his children, Doug (Jeri), David (Janet) and Linda Fordyce Ewert; and his siblings, Dick Fordyce, Jack Fordyce and Marti Fordyce Gonterman.

Contributions in Doug's memory can be made to Memorial Children's Hospital.
