We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2024, at the age of 101, Elsie E. Shumaker (South Bend, Indiana), born in New Carlisle, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Elsie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Elsie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Elsie leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Leora (Bennitt) and Fred Lippincott; her husband Paul L. Shumaker; and her siblings, Mary Hager and Joseph Lippincott.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Shumaker and Duane Shumaker; and her brother William Lippincott (Carol). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren.
