Dieter of South Bend, Indiana, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Cosby and Elizabeth Mallory Batte; and her grandparents, John Cosby, Dora Mallie Belle Pruett, Herbert Leigh Batte and Gertrude Harding.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Dieter; her daughters, Cathi Ruszkowski (Scott) and Jennie Mast; her grandchildren, Jarek, Ignatius Ruszkowski, McKenna Mast Meert (Zach) and Emilie Mast; her siblings, John Cosby (Denise), Anne Lewis and Mallory Driskill (Blake); her friends, Karen Malling and Diane Baumhower; her son Thomas Dieter (Tommy); her siblings-in-law, Melanie Jean Stout Cosby and Edward Morris Lewis; her nephew Christopher Ryan Lewis; and also Emily. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even great-great-nieces and nephews.
