Genevieve Rathwick Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Genevieve Rathwick of South Bend, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florian Mroczkiewicz and Cecelia Mroczkiewicz (Kush); her husband Robert E. Rathwick; and her grandsons, Bryan Przybylski and Evan Buford.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Beasley (Mark) and Thomas Rathwick (Susan); her grandchildren, Scott Prybylski, Mary Mark (Phillip), Deaven Rathwick, Nicholas Rathwick, Isaac Rathwick and Adam Buford; her great grandchildren, Kristopher, Kourtney, Madisyn, Olivia, Sophie, Payton, Kaydence and Mayson; and her granddaughter Suzanne Weigand (Karl).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Funeral Home (824 S Mayflower Dr, South Bend, IN 46619). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (1050 Wilber St, South Bend, IN 46628). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the St Joseph Cemetery (24980 IN-2, South Bend, IN 46619).
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Genevieve "Jean Ann" Rathwick may be made out to Holy Cross Catholic Church.
