He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Newman and Ethel Newman (Levenson); and his son Brian Newman. He is survived by: his wife Joy Newman (Nelson); his children, Rochelle Newman (David Rossell), Eric Newman (Lisa) and Alex Nelson (Mary); his grandchildren, Chase and Emerson Newman; and his sisters, Diane German (Arthur), Lee Newman (John Fox) and Lynn Newman (Vernon Rhoden). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Geoff was also awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his many contributions to that organization.
