It is with sadness that the passing of Gregory Tatay in South Bend, Indiana is shared. Gregory, born on November 18, 1954, passed away on October 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tatay and Pauline Tatay (Galloway); and his siblings, Susie Waltz, Bill, Jack, Chuck and Mike Tatay.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Tatay (Smith); his children, Greg Tatay (Marcie) of South Bend, Guy Tatay (Stacy) of Granger, Heather Vaszari (Joe) and Jeanine Mantei; his grandchildren, Kaylan (Sam), Evan, King and Madeline; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Charlotte and Lincoln; his siblings, Marge Tavernier (Mark) of Granger, Kathy Youngs (Mike) of Mishawaka and Steve Tatay (Sue) of Florida; his parents-in-law, DeWaine and Doris Smith of South Bend; and his pets, Lola, Tom and Mia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel (3718 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46614). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
