He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil C. Deckler and Gladys M. Deckler; his son David Alan Deckler; and his siblings, Mary Rose Powell, Jimmy Deckler and Carl Deckler.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Deckler; and his children, H. Charles Deckler (Pam) of Indianola, IA, Cathy Lance of New Carlisle, IN, Linda Nicolette (Vernon) of Didcot, Debra Potts (David) of Fort Worth, TX and James Deckler (Tracy) of Edwardsburg, MI. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
