It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hugh H Tipton Jr. of South Bend, Indiana, born in Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Tipton and Elfreda Tipton Sr. (Perkins); and his wife Roberta "Bobbi" Sherman VanAvermaete. He is survived by: his children, Jeff VanAvermaete of Mishawaka, Laurie Lacey (George) of Port Huron, MI and Rhonda Grinnell of Searcy, AR; his grandsons, David Singleton, Cody and Charles Starks; and his siblings, Sharon Ebersole (Ransom) of Rolling Prairie, IN and Warren Tipton of New Carlisle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hahn Funeral Home (505 W 8th St, Mishawaka, IN 46544). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
