He was predeceased by: his father Darrell D. Austin. He is survived by: his children, Michele L. Lambert (David) of South Bend, Mandi L. Foust (Alan) of Mishawaka, James R. Austin, Jr. (Tracy) of South Bend and Patrick J. Austin (Tanya) of South Bend; and his brother Steve Austin (Dawn) of Wilmington. He is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew.
