He was predeceased by: his former wife Frankie Trotter; his siblings, Edward Trotter, Thelma Lindsey, Madie Trotter and Norline Jones; and his great grandchild Bre.
He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Trotter; his children, James Charles Trotter Jr. of South Bend, Felecia Trotter of South Bend, Viveca Trotter of South Bend, Christopher Trotter (Sydney) of South Bend, Sean Trotter (Jay) of South Bend, Terrence Trotter (Christina) of South Bend and Tanika Trotter of South Bend; and his siblings, Carmon Trotter (Rosie) of Phoenix, Levi Trotter (Betty) of South Bend, Willie Ruth McFadden (Henry) of Texarkana, Steven Trotter and Sandra. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild.
