He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whitesel and Frances Whitesel (Reichanadter); and his wife Anna B. Kertai. He is survived by: his sons, Troy Whitesel (Susan) of South Bend and James Whitesel (Kathy) of Indianapolis; his grandsons, Cole Whitesel (Abbey Kaser) and Jake Whitesel (Jessica); and his great grandchild Paisley Whitesel (Diane Hawks).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James's honor to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
