It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Grohowski (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jeanette Grohowski to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Wegner and Lucille Wegner (Was); her husband Robert Grohowski; her sister Rita Kenehan; and her nephew Jeffrey Cabral.
She is survived by: her sons, Gill Grohowski (Christine) and Gregory Grohowski; her grandchildren, Julianne Grohowski, Gabrielle Grohowski and Gavin Grohowski; her sisters, Clarice Cabral, Mary Jo Krisor, Teri Halgren, Geri Oppenheim and Gretchen Mehall; her close friend Dawn Orosz; and her sister Celeste Cabral. She is also survived by cousins, and numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Saint Joseph Funeral Home (824 S Mayflower Dr, South Bend, IN 46619). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Hedwig Catholic Church (331 S Scott St, South Bend, IN 46601). A burial was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
