She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Alerding, and Nancy Delores Alerding, Sr. (Byfield). She is survived by: her close friend Richard MacKenzie; her daughters, Amanda Paczkowski of South Bend and Aubrey Paczkowski of South Bend; her grandchildren, Alexis (Brian), Sean, Aniah, Avianna, Michael, Bentley and Jaidyn; her great great grandchildren, Parker and Camilla; and her siblings, Deborah Huston (Oscar) of Mishawaka, William Alerding (Kathy) of South Bend and Michael Alerding (Sue) of South Bend. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
