It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Ball of South Bend, Indiana, born in West Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Sr. Tavares and Helen Tavares (Niespodziany); her husband Richard Ball; her children, Sherry Elaine Ball and David Ball; and her brother Antonio Tavares Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Gilbert (Barbara), Leslie Newcomb (Ronald) of Bonita Springs, FL, Susan Ball Farr (Thomas Farr) and Kristin Cabanaw of Mishawaka, IN; her sister-in-law Carol Tavares; her siblings, Mary Niedbala (Ernie), Helen Matthews (Richard) and Victor Tavares; and her grandchildren, Craig Moss (Carrie Fox), Matthew Newcomb (Kayla Hammer), Lindsey Andrews (Levi), Erica Safley (John) and McKenzie Cabanaw (Cody Pennington). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
