It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe A. Warner of South Bend, Indiana, born in Wanatah, Indiana, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy L. Warner and T. Gene Warner. He is survived by: his close friend Suzanne; his wife Linda Warner (Jones); his grandson Joe; his children, Brian Warner (Sheri), Troy Warner (Erin), Ryan Warner and Amy Warner (Matt); his stepson Nick Jones (Missy); and his grandchildren, Nick Warner (Bridget), Katherine Heard (Demias), Addison Warner, Lillie Warner, Ellie Jones, Emmy, Luke, Aiden and Rachel Koerner.
After a COVID delay, Joe and Suzanne spent 44 days hiking the El Camino trail across the north end of Spain, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, to Finisterre, Spain, finishing up the last six days on horseback.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra or the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
