It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Beckman III of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Joel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel M. Beckman Jr. and Irene "Cece" Beckman; and his brother Scott Beckman. He is survived by: his daughter Emma Beckman of Montreal; his stepchildren, Adam Minich and Jenna Swanson; his sisters, Julie Welling (Bill) and Sandy Moreland; and his sister-in-law Jan Beckman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
