He was predeceased by: his father John; his wife Nancy Therese Brozovich of Whiting; and his siblings, Richard and Margaret Coughlin (Peggy). He is survived by: his grandchildren, AJ Puziol (Lauren), Katie Puziol, Patrick, Clare, Colleen Lucey, Hannah Griffin (Matt) and Benjamin Lucey; his great grandchild Mason Griffin; and his siblings, William and Mary Lou Hoskins.
As a professor, he participated in many different parts of its academic mission, including his contributions to Nuclear Engineering and a long association with the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society, which he served in many capacities over the years.
