He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lynn Prough Norman; his parents, John W. Norman and Lodema Douglas Norman; and his siblings, Donald Norman, Larry Norman, Doris "Evelyn" Norem and Betty Berg.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Norman (Joy) and Paul Norman (Debra); his stepchildren, Maralee Holdren (Thomas) and Duncan MacMillan; his grandchildren, Luke Norman, Hope Norman, Kaitlyn Norman, Jacqueline Wiley, Alexandra Goodnight, Kristin Mishler and Erin MacMillan; and his great grandchildren, Noah Mishler, Gideon Mishler, Bryant Wiley and Zariyah Wiley (Betty Martha Haines).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Healthwin or a South Bend public school music department in John's memory.
