He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Albert Garbacz Sr. and Elizabeth Veronica Garbacz (Sadecki); his wife Jane Garbacz (Bondhus); and his sons, Bryan and Daniel Garbacz.
He is survived by: his siblings, Anita Andrasco (James "Mike"), Robert Garbacz (Laura) and Frank Garbacz (Joan); his daughter-in-law Ellen Garbacz (Wilson); and his brother-in-law Steve Bondhus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
