He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Romano, Jr. (Kathy) and Bryan Romano; his grandchildren, Ashlea Harrington (Zak), Allysa Romano, Derrick Romano, Craig Romano and Danielle Gricus (Matthew); his nephew John Romano; and his niece Annette Romano.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Funeral Home (824 S Mayflower Dr, South Bend, IN 46619). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Funeral Home (824 S Mayflower Dr, South Bend, IN 46619). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Hungarian Sacred Heart Cemetery.
