She is survived by: her husband Patrick Birmele; her children, Dylan Osterkamp (Zarah), Skyler Fluharty and Dakota Birmele; her grandchildren, Liam Buda, Aleah Buda, Xailey Osterkamp, Daylen Osterkamp, Nikko Osterkamp and Luciano Islas; and her siblings, Cassandra Hollandsworth, LaDonna Fluharty (Fred Wolf) and Tracy Stanger (JW). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A strong and resilient woman, Karlynne was honored to have her name placed on the wall at the Lilly Foundation as a 25-year survivor of Type 1 diabetes, receiving a medal in recognition of her courage and perseverance.
