He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Makielski; and his brother-in-law Dan Hoover. He is survived by: his mother Betty Makielski (Klemczewski) of South Bend, Indiana; his wife Diane L. Makielski; his children, Beth Makielski of Mishawaka, Nikki Butts of South Bend, Indiana and Mathew Makielski of South Bend, Indiana; his grandchildren, Aiden Roach, Aeris Roach and Ashton Duke; and his sisters, Debbie Hoover of Granger, Sandra Mills (Brian) of South Bend and Lisa Latimer (Tom) of Granger, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
