It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucinda Swanson in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Battles and Katherine Battles; her siblings, Lenora Anderson, Lola Battles, Verlene Williams, Lorine Glass, Johnnie Lyte, Zella Roberson and Walter Battles; and her son Leroy Tipton.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Tipton of Dyersburg, TN., Robert Lewis Jr. (Tracy) and Vincent Tipton of South Bend; her siblings, Mary Burton of Southfield, Sarah Smith (Duke) of New Mexico and Grady Battles (Alice) of Dyersburg, TN; her grandchildren, Joshua Tipton-Troyer (Michelle) of South Bend, Tory Tipton of Flint, Mark Anthony Mays and Latasha Farrell of Dyersburg, TN; and her goddaughter Johnquis Powell (Muffin) of Noblesville.
