She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Kline" Matthews and Gail Matthews (Pixley); and her daughter Karen Duncan. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Collins of Mishawaka, IN and Laura Cripe (Marc) of Ft. Mill, SC.; and her grandchildren, James Collins, Benjamin Cripe (Joy), Abigail "Abby" Crovi (Joseph), Samuel Cripe and Thomas Cripe.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church (114 N Ironwood Dr, South Bend, IN 46615). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
