She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Sandwith and Mary Sandwith (Jackson); her husband James O. Root; her sons, Paul Barrett and Jim Root; and her brothers, Alfred Sandwith, Carl Sandwith and Charles Sandwith.
She is survived by: her sons, John Barrett, David Barrett (Jan), George Root (Val) and Joe Root; her daughter-in-law Gail Root; and her brother Jack Sandwith. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
