She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph David Spite and Edna Elizabeth Spite (Young); and her sisters, Jean, Willow and Nell.

She is survived by: her husband Mark John Paustian; and her siblings, Glory A. Whitehouse of Mishawaka, Tabitha Brown (Gilbert) of South Bend, Stephen P. Spite (Sandra) of Rochester, Timothy D. Spite (Mary) of Mishawaka, Jonathan D. Spite (Denise) of Rochester and Paul F. Spite (Sally) of Chesterton, Indiana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
