It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Matthew T. Payton (South Bend, Indiana), born in Warren, Michigan, who passed away on April 22, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Payton and Joyce Payton (Eagles); and his stepbrother Patrick Payton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hosinski; his children, Amanda Cavanaugh (Collin) of Warren, MI, Daniel Payton of South Bend, Jane Payton (Joseph Mainda) of Kalamazoo, MI and David Payton of Granger; his siblings, Rebekah Lewis of Texas, Victoria Payton of Georgia and Peter Payton of Chicago; his stepbrothers, Dan Payton of Colorado and Jeffrey Payton of Florida; and his siblings' child Grumpy. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Child Society.
